• 1. Why is SMART TECHNOLOGIES LTD. better than the competition?
Leasing is more than just a numbers game; leasing is service that you can count on every day. Our sales people not only have an expertise in equipment leasing, they have an understanding of your industry. More importantly, they develop an understanding of your company and your specific objectives. Our vendor programs are designed specifically to meet the customer’s needs; and every customer’s needs are unique. We value your business too much to hand it over to someone else.
• 2. Is leasing is too expensive?
Leasing is a competitive source of funds. It is easier, faster and more convenient than borrowing. It allows a business to grow by freeing up working capital for general expenses, inventory and any unforeseen emergencies. Eight out of ten companies use leasing to finance their equipment acquisitions.
• 3. What kinds of lease terms are available?
A variety of leasing products are available that allow us to tailor a lease to fit your month-to-month cash flow requirements. Lease terms usually range from 12 to 60 months with various end of term options.
• 4. Why should my company lease?
Leasing provides a great deal of flexibility in how you manage your equipment acquisitions. Whether you are a small or large company, leasing allows you to structure your equipment acquisition to best suit your time frame and payment structure.
• 5. Who can lease?
Any company, organization or association can lease. At present, we do not lease equipment to individuals for personal use.
• 6. What is covered under the leasing program?
All leased computers are covered by a replacement policy: if you experience a hardware problem, the defective equipment is replaced as quickly as possible.
• 7. Is it possible to lease a computer without support outsourcing?
You can lease a computer without support. Support is completely optional and can be subscribed to (or cancelled) on a yearly basis.
• 8. Can I get the support outsourcing without leasing a computer?
We can tailor-made our outsourcing programs to your particular needs and hardware available.
• 9. What if we want to upgrade our computers before the end of the leasing period?
One is free to purchase or lease new equipment at any time during the leasing period.
• 10. Can I specify software to be added to the computers before they are delivered?
Computers can be loaded with any site-licensed software before the computers are actually deployed to your company. If the software is not site-licensed, it may not be loaded prior to deployment. Software that is not site-licensed must be loaded by the company itself. An exception to this may be made if the company can provide proof that it has sufficient individual licenses for every computer upon which it is to be installed.
• 11. Who sets up the computers?
Our technicians will install your new equipment, and modify the necessary settings to ensure network connectivity/access to your printers. The technicians can also remove any old equipment upon request.
• 12. Will you join my computer to my domain?
Yes. SMART TECHNOLOGIES LTD. technicians can add the new computers to your domain, although they will need temporary access to the Domain Administrator account (or an account that has sufficient privileges) to do so.
• 13. What happens to the computers at the end of the lease?
All computers and related equipment remain the property of SMART TECHNOLOGIES LTD. and will be removed at the end of the lease. You may opt to start a new lease with new equipment.
